What is a Bowl Feeder Hopper?
BBF Bowl feeder hoppers are upgraded parts for automated feeding equipment like vibratory bowl feeders and centrifugal feeders—their key jobs are storing parts, buffering part flow, and feeding parts. On automated production lines, they fix a common problem: vibratory bowl and centrifugal feeders can’t hold much in one batch. This means no more production stops due to the need to manually add parts repeatedly. At the same time, they keep parts flowing steadily, so the next feeding equipment works efficiently without breaks.
We offer three bowl feeder hopper types, picked based on your parts’ properties and needs: hoppers with linear feeders, hoppers with belt conveyors, and elevator hoppers. Most bowl feeder hoppers are made of carbon steel or 304 stainless steel. For food or pharmaceutical parts, we use 316 stainless steel to avoid contamination.

Key Features of Bowl Feeder Hoppers
Our bowl feeder hoppers work great in every way, and their advantages fit right with your actual needs.

We tailor parts, structures, and sizes based on your parts’ properties and specific needs

Made of carbon steel or stainless steel—can stand up to part impact and non-stop operation parts

CE certified and strictly follows the ISO 9001 quality management system

Works with sensors and PLC integration to monitor parts automatically, cutting down on labor needs
Advantages of Different Types of Bowl Feeder Hoppers Â
Hopper with Linear Feeder: Great for small-batch, high-frequency feeding—like for electronic components, hardware, or plastic parts. It meets the need for precise, short-range part replenishment.
Belt Conveyor Hopper: Fits for conveying parts that are not sticky and have medium-to-low hardness, such as candies and nuts. It keeps the impact on the parts to a minimum.
Elevator Hopper: Can move parts vertically or at a steep angle. It solves feeding troubles well, like when workshop space is tight, or you need to bridge height gaps between equipment.

How to Choose the Right Bowl Feeder Hopper Capacity
Usually, pick a capacity based on how many parts your equipment uses in 1-2 hours. For example, if a vibrating bowl feeder uses 5kg of parts per hour, we recommend a 10-15L hopper.
What’s the Maintenance Cycle for Different Bowl Feeder Hoppers
Vibrating hoppers: Focus on maintaining the vibrating motor or linear feeder, and check the wiring every 3-6 months.
Belt conveyor hoppers: Check the belt for wear and adjust its tension every 2-4 months.
Elevator hoppers: Inspect the chain every six months and perform regular cleaning and basic maintenance once a month.
